The Allen & Heath DX168 is a professional 16-input, 8-output portable audio expander designed to extend the input and output capabilities of compatible Allen & Heath digital mixing systems. Featuring 96kHz audio conversion, 16 fully recallable mic/line preamps, and 8 balanced XLR outputs, it provides reliable remote connectivity for live sound, touring, houses of worship, corporate AV, and permanent installations.
Built for demanding production environments, the DX168 features a rugged enclosure with protective rubber bumpers and a convenient carry handle. Dual locking etherCON DX ports support cascading additional expanders or redundant connections with compatible hardware. The DX168 connects using shielded network cabling and supports cable runs up to 100 meters, subject to the connected system and network protocol. An optional rack-mount kit allows installation in standard 19-inch equipment racks.
